This site is intended for those who want a space to share their writing and/or photography. 

When we write or photograph we leave our bodies behind and enter the infinite space not confined by ‘self.’ We then are able to experience unbiased connection to everything and everybody around us. Once back in our bodies the words we wrote and the images we captured become the vessels to transport others to where we were.  Al’s Outta Body Shop is devoted to shining a light on our travels through writing and photography.

When you subscribe, you can contribute your own writing and/or photography in a safe space where thoughtful and civil dialogue, input and feedback will foster learning and growth. Everyday, our minds are full of thoughts that we don’t write down, but without ink on paper or no audience they never can tell the story within. Our cameras stop time in its tracks for us see what we can’t, but most images remain unseen in their digital embryo. 

Write Here. is where subscribers can post and comment. I will at times post a topic that we can pursue. Also, I will post sections of the memoir I am writing for critique.

Photo Pheatures. What we choose to capture with a camera, and post process or not, is a reflection of our mind and story as well. My hope is  that a core group will materialize (sans Meetup!)for discussion, possible Zoom get-togethers, as well as group shoots. The image gallery will provide a space for subscribers to post and peruse.
